Explore the area

Don’t be afraid to explore the area. There are many interesting sights to see.

There is also Arenal Volcano, Tabacon Hot Springs and the Monteverde Rain Forest. These are very beautiful areas.  We’ve stayed at the Arenal Lodge and had a great time!  It is a beautiful drive from Canas to Tilaran and around Arenal Lake.  Rincon de La Vieja is just northeast of Liberia.  It is an easy drive from the condo, even with the rough gravel road during the last part of the drive.  You should have a Costa Rican map and allow plenty of time to reach your intended destinations as the roads can be in disrepair at times.

**Make sure to purchase a map of Costa Rica.  It will give you a good overview of ways to get around. **

The Costa Rican people are very nice and traveling the countryside can be very enjoyable.  Just don’t try to drive like we do back home---slow down--be a Costa Rican--and take your time!!
